Sandy’s Treatment – Day 182

Woke to a Sandy who was feeling a bit better. Breakfast, dogs walk, make lunch.

I’m much more confident that when I leave Sandy these days she’ll be OK. It’s a long, slow process and the Wizards are indeed Wizardish. But whatever, it’s working.

Travel to work interrupted by a screw in one of the types, so dropped round to the garage and they had it back to me in just over an hour. Then checked and corrected type pressures all round, then off to work. Uneventful journey, except for a lorry that was wandering a lot on the M42. Put foot down and went past him. Prefer to have that type of driver a long way behind – something about a “someone else’s problem field”.

Into work and nearly went into the wrong car park. Must get used to the sharp left turn.

Got a text from Sandy asking (pleading) to go to a local quilt show this weekend. Of course we’re going.

In time for the board, so lunch and getting on with things. A few checks and we were all set. Then the board. This was reviewing stuff before next week when we have the externals. Went off OK, then back to the office to have more conversations.

Remembered where the car was – and it started raining. And rained all the way home and for the dog walk. Dog coats appreciated. Sandy fed, dogs fed, me fed.

Sandy’s been sewing today. All good.

Tomorrow is Location Independent Working. In other words I’m doing the same, if not more, than if I went in, but saving a couple of hours and a gallon and a half. And there’s better coffee.

Heard this evening that a friend has gone green and bought a hybrid. Just had the story. And the description from her and her mum.

“It’s silver.”
