Who drives the vindictive – more vivas – local history

Nothing on covid today. The latest figures will be published tomorrow.

“Passions run high as Lords change Rwanda bill again”. – Source. And further down “Labour argues the scheme will not succeed in deterring people from making the journey and has vowed to scrap it if it wins power at the general election.” Here’s hoping.

And “DWP warns carers they could face greater penalties if they appeal against fines.” Source.

Who’s driving this vindictiveness? Or is that an easy guess?

After today and more vivas, if students devoted as much creativity to the task of producing assessments as they seem to do producing excuses they wouldn’t generate the problems for themselves that they do. Suffice to say that I’m very glad that soon it will be someone else’s problem. However today has been chasing then impossible and ensuring that I’m doing everything by the book and making sure that it’s all documented. All pf this takes a long time. 64 working days, 105 actual days, 15 weeks and 4 timetabled teaching days to go.

Passed another local history sign on the way home tonight. Hurriedly taken as a rain squall hit just as I was pressing the shutter button.

Music

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), Mass in B minor, Quoniam tu solus sanctus, Cum Sancto Spiritu, Collegium Vocale Gent, Philippe Herreweghe
