Vaccinations – more summons to vivas – and getting cross eyed

From today the NHS is taking bookings from people in England wanting a free spring Covid booster vaccine.

• These can be had by everyone aged 75 or older by 30 June 2024
• Or those with a weak immune system, aged six months or older
• Or people in care homes for older adults
• Book via the NHS website, app or by calling 119.
• Covid is now a relatively mild disease for the vast majority but can still be very dangerous and even life-threatening for some.
• Vaccines lower the risk but protection fades, so top-up jabs are offered.

More right wing force-throughs from the government today – still debating the Rwanda bill and probably ignoring international law. Par for the course really – didn’t Germany have a similar philosophy in the 1930s?

More marking and summoning to Vivas today. One of them will be asked quite what relevance to Hotel performance the citation which refers to “Prolonged presence of SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA in faecal samples”. I will be very glad when this marking session is over.
