Data updates going monthly – changing the clocks – and featuring Pickles

There’s a notification on the UKHSA data dashboard which says that health stats will be updated monthly rather than weekly. We will not have as much data available to see trends sooner. With the current lower infection rate this is not an issue, but if it ramps up again …

Reflecting on previous years, this chart shows the hospital admission rates since the start of the pandemic. Remembering that we had an open Christmas in 2020 which proved disastrous for infection rates, and that we started vaccinations in January 2021 I leave others to judge how that all went.

Another day of finding non-existent or elusive space. And then covering it up again. Must really get on.

The clock change was entirely automatic except for the cooker. I managed to advance the hour, but in doing so set off a timer, and that started beeping at me. Turning that off and not putting it on repeat was challenging. There’s only three buttons to press but it seems that I managed to press them wrong more than twice.

Domestics continue in the coming week, if I can get the bum off the sofa.

More from son’s dogs, Pickles and Poppy enjoying the mud – they’re mostly spaniels so this is expected, and Pickles observing me wondering if the treats I brought them are on the horizon.

Music

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), Easter Oratorio, BWV 249 (1725, 1735, 1740), Monteverdi Choir, English Baroque Soloists, John Eliot Gardiner
