Productive Day
Not much change on COVID today. Cases are not decreasing as much as people hoped. Whether we’re going to see an increase because of school opening, or any other relaxation of lockdowns, or whether the general public let their guard down and behave in a non-COVID secure way. We’ve seen this on the weekly shopping trips, and it does not inspire confidence,
I had a half hour Teams meeting with my new Head of School today, which lasted an hour and ten minutes. A very productive hour and ten minutes. Having got my plans approved I now have work to do to put them all in place.
No writing today but much correspondence with students. When you’re not face to face you can’t just point and say “that’s not right”, you have to explain by typing. That takes time. Tomorrow will, hopefully, give me space to write.
Coffee has got posher. After the milk frother purchase, we can now offer frothy coffee with a choice of freshly ground cinnamon, nutmeg or chocolate. I’ve bought some spice grinders and am using them. Pity it’s only for me at the moment.
Or has my coffee just got more pretentious?
Today’s pic is from last summer in Cornwall, cottages in St Just near the church.
